The Water of Life - A Whisky Film

The craftsmen, chemists, and renegades who saved scotch whisky and ignited a single malt revolution

Extra Scenes

One of the most difficult challenges in making a film is cutting it down to the “final cut”. To a director or an editor, these scenes are each a piece of art in and of themselves. In documentary filmmaking, the task can be even more challenging because they may be scenes that represent stories or places that are near and dear to you. The shots are perfect, the people fascinating, but the finished scene just didn’t quite fit the flow or the timing. But the scenes live on. And so we are happy to share with you some of them right now. Some of these scenes were in the film until the very last minute. They represent just as much beauty and craftsmanship as any of the others. We hope that you will enjoy this peek behind the curtain. So, grab a dram and toast these great whisky makers and distilleries with us!
